Sarinah Signs MOU with Antara News
Indonesia’s pioneer of modern retail, Sarinah, signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Antara News on 20th October 2015 at the Adhiyana Auditorium of Wisma Antara as the latest corporate measure to become the global face of Indonesia. Represented by President Director of Sarinah, Ms Ira Puspadewi, and President Director of Antara News, Mr Saiful Hadi, the 5-year joint partnership will involve the installation of a 14 x 10 metre LED screen on the exterior of Sarinah’s landmark Thamrin department store. Expected to become operational in December 2015, this screen will broadcast programming from Antara News as well as feature advertisements from Sarinah.
Similar LED displays have already been erected in locations in cities such as Serang and Cibinong as well as on the Wisma Antara building in Jakarta. In addition to the Sarinah Thamrin department store, Antara News aims to install screens in Tasikmalaya and at the Ministry of State Apparatus and Bureaucratic Reform building soon. Other representatives present at the MOU signing event set to redefine advertising strategies in Indonesia include Sarinah’s Operational Director Ms Handriani Tjatur Setiowati as well as top-level management staff from Antara News including Commercial and Business Development Director Mr Hempi N. Prajudi, Human Resources and Technology Director Mr Naufal Mahfudz, and Commercial General Manager Mr Darmadi. Antara News plans to have a total of 30 LED screens positioned in various regions throughout Indonesia by 2016 – a course of action that will bring about numerous opportunities for Sarinah to build upon its strong market presence across the archipelago.
Sarinah’s latest MOU signing stands as testament to the company’s dedication to innovation that has progressed in tandem with an advancing Indonesian society. Through this partnership, both state-owned enterprises hope to bring about a harmonious synergy that will showcase their far-reaching potential to a broad spectrum of consumers in Indonesia. With Sarinah striving for greater consumer awareness by 2018 through a number of plans poised to elevate its brand positioning amidst tightening competition, the company’s joint partnership with Antara News will update consumers on events and public information showcasing Sarinah as a trend-savvy retail centre. Being an agent of change, Sarinah continues to forge partnerships with notable companies eager to participate in Indonesia’s continued modernisation.
