Sarinah Signs MOU with Perum Perhutani
Modern Indonesian retailer, Sarinah, signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with state-owned enterprise Perum Perusahaan Hutan Negara Indonesia (Perum Perhutani) on 2nd December 2015 at the Manggala Wanabakti building in Jakarta. President Director of Sarinah, Ms Ira Puspadewi and President Director of Perum Perhutani Mr Mustoha Iskandar participated in the MOU signing with a focus on the Optimisation of Assets. As is stipulated in this agreement, Sarinah’s 2.3 hectares of land in the sub-district of Pancoran, South Jakarta will be utilised for the construction of office spaces spearheaded by Perum Perhutani for the construction process starting in early 2016.
Cooperation between Sarinah and Perum Perhutani illustrates both companies’ interest in establishing strong synergy amongst state-owned enterprises. Through the recent MOU signing, Perum Perhutani along with its subsidiaries – PT Inhutani I until PT Inhutani V – is scheduled to use the integrated office space that uses the concept of ‘Green Indonesia’ within the premise of Sarinah’s Pancoran lot. This course of action showcases Sarinah’s commitment to the maximisation of available resources for development purposes in keeping with its partner’s mission to conserve and best maintain available land. Sarinah through the MOU will therefore be able to utilise the available office space for business activities upon completion. The project is projected to begin in the next six months further demonstrating Sarinah’s wide-range of ventures set to take place over the coming year.
