Sarinah Hosts ‘Walkathon’ Event in Jakarta
Sarinah will be hosting a ‘walkathon’ event in Jakarta during Car Free Day on 13th August 2017 in which the event has garnered full support from the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises, Ms Rini Soemarno. The event is scheduled to run from 6:00 A.M. until 10:35 A.M. As a state-owned company that is well-known for its active participation on a societal level, Sarinah’s walkathon programme is to promote a healthy lifestyle. The event also demonstrates Sarinah’s understanding of Jakarta’s active urban society that has pushed for the growth of sporting communities in various fields.
In keeping with its strengths in the retail industry coupled with the company’s unparalleled support towards promoting Indonesian culture, Sarinah will also host a fashion show as well as a Mambri dance performance to kick-off the start of the event. A number of senior-level management members from Sarinah will accompany Ms Rini Soemarno during the walking activity, therefore, illustrating the solidarity between key members of Indonesia’s state-owned enterprises. Moreover, Sarinah has invited the Rumah Autis organisation as a symbol of Sarinah’s ongoing corporate social responsibility efforts. During the event programme, Sarinah is also expected to sign a memorandum of understanding with the Regent Head of Trenggalek, moving in-line with the company’s aim of closely cooperating with various regencies across Indonesia. As such, Sarinah’s impending activity-filled event is among one of many measures carried out by the company in order to engage with the community and support local communities.
