‘Siswa Mengenal Nusantara Students’ at Car Free Day
Sarinah welcomed the “Siswa Mengenal Nusantara” – East Kalimantan participants during Car Free Day which was held on Sunday, 30th July 2017. Participants had the opportunity to visit the Sarinah Thamrin Department Store; Sarinah worked in partnership with PT JIEP to host the event.
The event objective was in order for participants to better understand Sarinah’s contribution to Indonesia’s retail sector as a historic state-owned enterprise. Furthermore, students also had the opportunity to directly witness Sarinah’s continued efforts in accomodating to Indonesia’s young demographic which encompasses a large proportion of the consumer market.
As a company renowned for offering a wide array of Indonesia products such as batik and traditional handicrafts from across the archipelago, Sarinah thus allowed event participants to carry out a performance. Among the performances included a marching band from SDN 03 Jatinegara Kaum, Batavian traditional dance by SDIT At Taqwa, and a JIEP Pride performance.
